Scroll down a little and you see this exact claim. This is about the 10th time I’ve seen it on here…
It can’t possibly happen RLP as everyone else on here knows. Churches can marry whoever they want and sure as heck can have denominational limits on who they marry.

The answer is ZERO of course.

With this history of marriage licenses being used to prevent interracial marriages, why do we allow the same discourse and type of discrimination to persist? Will opponents today be judged like the racial purity folks of the past? Isn’t this why we should always error on the side of individual freedom in personal affairs?

I’ve heard some of the anti-gay marriage folks here argue that gays should have civil unions, but they shouldn’t be allowed to marry, because of the religious ramifications of marriage. Does marriage always have a religious undertone, though? After all, there are plenty of straight couples who get married in civil ceremonies.

After all, gay marriage would take place between two consenting adults, and a dog, cat, or horse would never be able to give its consent. Also, there are laws on the books against marrying relatives, thanks to concerns about inbreeding. Unlike incest, at least gay marriage wouldn’t lead to birth defects!

They obvioulsy did and never expected the outcome in California. Now that marriage is banned they are crying foul. Maybe they should listen to the people and how we define marriage as a society.

They remind me of people that bet on a ‘guaranteed’ winner in sports. When that team loses, they refuse to pay.

Marriage was never a civil right, and never will be.
