I’m not talking people from the 1920s, but those who wed in like the 1960s and up. I’ve looked at a lot of marriages as a cop and PI and been in three marriages myself and would have to say any marriage that lasts 50 years has a 100% chance at least one party cheated. Unless they’re both really deformed.

In my case I am against gay marriage for the debate, but I am for Civil Unions. I don’t think the ppl that are gay should get the title, because they already have C.U.’s. In other terms, their are two people who dont get along because of incompatibly issues, but they love each other not to give up on one another. Its a possible combination. So, how does a couple who is going through this deal with it and save the relationship?

But modern day television shows plots where characters are divorced or remarrying and how involved characters deal with it. Even children’s shows have this, usually to help children deal with divorced or remarrying parents.

But the problem is these plots get misinterpreted by kids. That aside from learning how to deal, they get the impression that divorce IS inevitable. That marriage will ALWAYS be temporary.

So now how would you teach kids how to deal with their divorced/remarried parents AND at the same time teach them the importance of strong family values?

My pastor is a fundamentalist Baptist preacher. He’s a big believer in traditional marriage when it comes to other people, but a huge hypocrite when it comes to himself.

CASE IN POINT:
My pastor has an 11-year-old daughter. She has a perfect frame for lifting heavy loads and plowing fields.

A 74-year-old member of our church is widowed and quite wealthy. He offered to purchase my pastor’s daughter as a slave, and also for breeding purposes. But instead of supporting traditional marriage, my pastor called the police on this poor old man.

How can I get my pastor to support traditional marriage as it was practiced in biblical times?

They obvioulsy did and never expected the outcome in California. Now that marriage is banned they are crying foul. Maybe they should listen to the people and how we define marriage as a society.

They remind me of people that bet on a ‘guaranteed’ winner in sports. When that team loses, they refuse to pay.

Marriage was never a civil right, and never will be.
